Getting Started

What are puzzle pixel art templates?  In short, they're mystery picture templates that have a real, non-pixelated image revealed as students answer questions correctly.  Templates come in a variety of question sizes, formats and puzzle pieces.  Regardless of the template you choose, every template is self-checking and will let students know if their answers are correct/incorrect as they work.

Puzzle Pixel Art Templates

The regular templates will have you find an image (you can use one from your camera roll or one you find online) and create 64-puzzle pieces.  These puzzle pieces will reveal themselves a few pieces at a time.

Fast Reveal Templates

These templates use less images and will reveal an image "faster."  16 question templates use a 16-piece image, 12 question templates use a 12-piece image and 10 question templates use a 12-piece image.  As students answer questions correctly, 1 puzzle piece is revealed at a time.

Scramble Templates

This fun spin on the templates has the image scrambled up when students open their activity.  As they answer questions correctly, the image will begin to unscramble itself and will be fully put back together once all questions are answered correctly.

Task Card Templates

These templates follow a task card format and are great for activities that use diagrams or images in their questions!  In these activities, only one question is revealed at a time and students will use a drop down menu to choose questions.

Box Question Templates

These templates have question spaces that are like a box, allowing for more space to add an image or to write a short sentence.  These spaces allow for more that just an algebraic question and show up larger on student screens.  These templates show all questions at once, unlike the task card templates that show questions 1 at a tiime.
